River Ure – Lower Dunsforth

Brief description of fishery:
Coarse fishing on 800m of the right bank of the river, about 8km downstream of Boroughbridge, on a sweeping left hand bend. The river is 40-50m wide in this section,  with trees in the water and lining the opposite bank  and a good flow at normal water levels.
Open for fishing:
25th March to the following 14th March.

When parking, please park tidily with due consideration for local farmers and residents.
Beware muddy and impassable conditions on the approach track, if looking to park by the river bank. When this is the case, we have been given permission by the farmer to park in the farm yard tight up against the black silage bags. Please leave a note on your windscreen with your name and mobile number in case of need.

Through the gate on the left hand side at start of unmade track (Scarers Lane) and across fields to river bank.
