River Ure – Roecliffe Top

Brief description of fishery:
About 1900 m of fishing, right bank. The other bank is BCAA’s Langthorpe fishery.
The river is about 40m wide along this length. Banks are heavily wooded and often steep, especially at the upstream end of the fishery, so that access to the water is sometimes difficult.

25th March to the following 14th March

No fishing allowed in  Roecliffe Wood.

Parking:
On the grass verge on the north side of Roecliffe village, bounded by the road, the drive at the side of the Old Chapel Cottage (postcode YO51 9LY), the hedge and the tree enclosed in the iron protective railings.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON ANY OTHER GRASS which forms part of the Village Green, or in the entrance to Winn’s Farm.

Access:
Pedestrian access between the Church and Winn’s Farm and then the public footpath to the river.
